At Nikk, flexibility is everything. Small enough to offer a bespoke nimble stance and keep it simple to your needs.

Recruitment generally falls into three models:

Contingent | Exclusive | Retained

All are priced the same.

Contingent

You release your vacancy to multiple recruiters.

Each races to deliver CVs first.

Sometimes fast, if you’re lucky.

Recruiters compete against each other, not for quality.

Roles risk being overworked, diluted, and overlooked in the market.

Can drag on, as contingent work is rarely top priority.

Fee: Payable upon offer and acceptance.

Exclusive

Same as contingent — but with one dedicated recruiter.

Terms agreed, job brief shared, and full focus given.

A trusted one-to-one partnership.

Open communication and a genuine commitment to your hire.

Prioritised by the recruiter, typically faster than contingent.

Simpler for you — one contact, one process.

Fee: Payable upon offer and acceptance.

Retained

A structured, partnership-led search.

Proposal agreed upfront: process, timelines, deliverables (e.g. interviews, tailored screening, reference checks).

Clear visibility of shortlists, progress, and market approach.

Not more expensive — just a different payment timeline.

Works for all levels, not just executive hires.

Deeper market coverage, higher quality outcomes, and full accountability.

Less time-consuming for you — communication is scheduled, and the search is fully managed.

Timeline and accountability all ironed out up front giving you peace of mind and allowing you to focus on your day job.

Fee structure (typically thirds):

  1. Upfront

  2.  shortlist

  3. Acceptance

Clients who try retained rarely go back — it delivers maximum results and real value.
